1. Who I am
talongrip.dev is an independent, sole-operated website. I am not a business, corporation, or legal entity — I am an individual providing development and infrastructure services. My website address is https://talongrip.dev and I operate from Arizona, United States.
For privacy-related inquiries, contact me at: admin@talongrip.dev
2. What information I collect
2.1 Server and traffic logs
Like virtually every website on the internet, my hosting infrastructure (Amazon Web Services, including CloudFront CDN and S3) automatically collects rudimentary traffic data. This includes:
- IP addresses
- Date and time of requests
- Pages visited
- HTTP status codes
- Browser user-agent strings
- Referring URLs
This data is collected solely for operational purposes — monitoring site availability, diagnosing errors, and protecting against abuse. Logs are automatically purged after 30 days. I do not sell, share, or analyze this data beyond basic operational needs.
2.2 Contact form submissions
If you submit the contact form on this site, I collect your name, email address, subject, and message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry. Contact form submissions are not stored in a database or shared with third parties. If we establish a working relationship, I may retain your contact information for ongoing communication. Otherwise, you may request deletion at any time.
2.3 Theme preference
Your dark/light theme preference is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to me or any third party.
3. Cookies
This site does not use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising. The only client-side storage used is localStorage for your theme preference, which is not a cookie and is not transmitted to any server. Some essential HTTP cookies may be set by my hosting provider (AWS CloudFront) strictly for delivery optimization and security. These are functional and contain no personal data.
4. Third-party services
I use the following third-party services, each of which may process data under their own privacy policies:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting, CDN, and DNS. AWS may process IP addresses and request metadata as described in section 2.1. AWS privacy policy: aws.amazon.com/privacy
I do not use analytics services, advertising networks, social media trackers, or any other third-party data processors beyond what is required for basic hosting.
5. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
If you are visiting from the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or similar jurisdiction:
- Traffic logs are processed under my legitimate interest in operating and securing this website.
- Contact form data is processed with your consent, which you provide when submitting the form. You may withdraw consent at any time by requesting deletion.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to know what data is collected and how it is used (this policy serves that purpose).
- Right to access — request a copy of data I hold about you.
- Right to deletion — request that I delete your data.
- Right to rectify — correct inaccurate data.
- Right to restrict processing — in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to opt out of sale/sharing — I do not sell or share your personal data.
These rights are granted under the GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA/CPRA (California), CPA (Colorado), CTDPA (Connecticut), UCPA (Utah), VCDPA (Virginia), and other applicable state privacy laws. To exercise any of these rights, contact me at admin@talongrip.dev. I will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Under the CCPA, California residents have the right to not be discriminated against for exercising their privacy rights. I do not and will not discriminate against anyone who exercises their rights under this policy.
7. Data retention
Traffic logs are retained for 30 days and then automatically deleted. Contact form data is retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, unless a continuing business relationship is established, in which case it is retained for the duration of that relationship. You may request deletion at any time.
8. Data security
This site is served over HTTPS (TLS encryption). Hosting infrastructure is managed through AWS, which provides industry-standard physical and network security. No data collected through this site is stored in a database or transmitted beyond what is described in this policy.
9. Changes to this policy
I may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. If the changes are significant, I may provide additional notice through the site.
